The programme educational objectives of this programme are as follows:
- Graduates who use their practical and analytical skills to contribute to the development in
public health and to the well-being of society.
- Graduates who are ethical, professional in their conduct and effective in communication.
- Graduates who are engaged in life-long learning and continued professional development.
- Graduate who can contribute to national and global development through teaching, learning and research.
Programme Learning Outcome (PLO)
Upon the completion of the programme, the students will be able to:
- PLO1: Demonstrate mastery of knowledge on scientific principles underlying public health practice.
- PLO2: Generate solutions to problems using scientific and critical thinking skills in the formulation of public health policies and programmes.
- PLO3: Apply practical skills in analysing, evaluating and interpreting data and information related to public health.
- PLO4: Conduct experimental and/or field activities related to societal issues.
- PLO5: Communicate effectively with communities in the dissemination of information related to public health issues.
- PLO6: Demonstrate independence, leadership, and teamwork with the society, peers, and stakeholders, in the management and delivery of health programmes.
- PLO7: Manage information for life-long learning and continuous professional development.
- PLO8: Demonstrate cognisance of sustainable practice in research and respect for the relevant legal and ethical principles, professional code of conduct, and cultural/religious sensitivities.
